1838 applications for emmigration permits
The lists below show the names of persons from the two villages of Klemzig & Langmeil who applied for permits to emmigrate in 1838. These with other villages formed the basis of the 250 persons in 53 families on the two ships ("Prince George" and "Bungalee") that arrived in Adelaide later that year.
It is now thought possible that Christian Lange and Anna Rosina Lange who married a Johann Gottlieb Schilling and lived in Langmiel were related. It is known that her father died when she was 10 years of age . The suggestion is that she was a cousin to Christian Lange and this could be so as the members of Pastor Kavel's congregations would include many inter-related persons.
It is probably not possible to confirm this information but the chances are that there is a connection.
